Sinedots2
Frame

To
work this Tutorial you will need: Paint
Shop Pro, Greggs
Factory Output Vol2, a corner ding font and an image of
your choice.
Lets
get started:
Open
an image of your choice and duplicate it twice, shift+D x 2,
close the original.
Minimise 1 copy, now with the other copy make a sinedots 2 tile
by following the instructions here,
just do not save as a .jpg file just yet, leave it as a .psp
file as you may need to adjust it slightly, minimise your tile
and maximise the other copy of the image.
Selections/Select
all, Selections save to alpha chanell, name and save your selection
as interior,
Selections/Select none.
Set your background colour by choosing a medium shade from your
image, I used #5AA7AD and your foreground colour to white.
Image/Add Borders, size 5, symetrical checked.
With your magic wand tool settings;Match mode RGB value, Tolerance
0, Feather 0 Sample merged unchecked,
select your border.
Effects/Plugin Filters/Greggs Factory output Vol 2/Pool shadow,
and apply with the default settings, like this;

Effects/3D Effects/Inner bevel with these settings;

Selections/Invert, Selections/Float.
Effects/3D Effects/Cut out using the following settings; H &
V 10, Opacity 100, Blur 100, shadow colour black, Fill interior
unchecked.
Repeat the cut out changing H & V to -10.
Selections/Select none.
In your colour palette toggle your foreground/background colours
so that the background colour now becomes white.
Image/Add Borders, size 5, symetrical checked.
With your magic wand using same settings as before select the
border, now apply your favourite SBP Preset or Effects/Texture
effects/Sculpture and apply the gold preset, if you use the
sculpture option, you will also need to apply the inner bevel
as before.
Toggle your colours once more, so that the colour you chose
is now showing as the background,
add one more border size 5, select and apply the poolshadow
and inner bevel as before.
Toggle your colours again, so that white is now showing as the
background colour, add a symetrical border of 25.
now maximise the tile you made at the begining, if it seems
a little dark, then adjust it by going Effects/Enhance Photo/Automatic
Contrast Enhancement and select these settings.

Once your tile is as you like it, click the little arrow on
your background colour palette and select the pattern option,
load your pattern with these settings: size 50, angle 0.
Now using your magic wand tool select your border and then floodfill
with your pattern and apply the same inner bevel as before.
Repeat the first three size 5 borders once more.
Almost done now. Set your background colour to white, make sure
your foreground colour is null,
select your text tool and click on your image.
Using a Border ding font of your choice you will have to play
with the size it will vary according to the image and font that
you are using, vector and antialias selected, apply your ding
to your frame image, it will appear on a new layer,
move it into position.
When you are happy with it, convert it to raster by right clicking
in your layer palette and selecting the convert to raster option,
Selections/Select all, Selections/Float and apply the same gold
that you used for your frame.
Selections/Defloat, Effects/3D Effects/Inner bevel and apply
the same bevel as before, Selections/Select none.
Effects/3D Effects/Drop Shadow and apply using these settings;
V & H 2, Opacity 80, Blur 3, Colour Black.
In your Layer Palette, duplicate this layer (Layer1) and Image/Mirror,
then duplicate this new layer and Image/Flip.
Go back to Layer 1 and duplicate it once more then Image/Flip,
you should now have a ding in each corner.
Now before we go for the final merge and save, do you think
you could use this frame on another Image? would you like to
keep it? if you answer yes then follow these steps now.
Shift+D to duplicate your Image, and in your layer palette select
the background layer it should be at the bottom, right click
and promote to layer.
Selections/Load from Alpha chanell, select you interior selection
and hit OK.
Now hit Delete, and your image from inside your frame is gone.
Layers/Merge/Merge all visible, File/save as, browse to your
psp frames folder, name your frame and save using the .pfr extension,
it will appear from now on as a frame in your psp frames and
you will be able to apply it to other images of your choosing.
you can close this copy now and go back to your other image.
Layers/Merge All Flatten, if you need to resize now, then do
and don't forget to sharpen, File/save as, name and save your
image.jpg and your done.
