Cool Canisters

You will need PSP you can download a 28 day trial copy here.

You will also need an Image to use as a fill for your canister.

 

Step 1: Open new image 250x250 transparent and floodfill with white

go to effects/geometric effects/circle.
selections/select all/selections/float, edit/copy, once you have copied this image you can close it, no need to save.

Step 2: Open new image 500x500 transparent.

edit/paste as new layer.

Step 3: Select your deformation tool

and taking the centre top mark, pull upwards,

repeat with the centre bottom mark pulling downwards,
until your circle forms an elipse, Tool options/apply, or double click on the Image, to apply your deformation.

Step 4: Take your selection tool set to rectangle

and make a selection across your elipse.

selection/float/selection/invert then hit delete,
selections/invert.
